Trade Finance Operations Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Trade Finance professionals with strong expertise in Trade Finance Operations. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in processing and verifying trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with international banking regulations, and delivering high-quality operational support across trade products.

The role requires extensive knowledge of Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bank Guarantees, Payments, and trade document scrutiny within a fast-paced banking or captive setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage Trade Finance transactions accurately and within defined SLAs.
- Perform detailed document checking and verification of Letters of Credit (LCs).
- Handle Import and Export Letters of Credit processing.
- Manage Documentary Collections and associated trade documentation.
- Process and vet Bank Guarantees and related amendments.
- Handle trade-related payments and settlements.
- Ensure compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, and applicable regulatory requirements.




- Identify discrepancies in trade documents and communicate findings efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, correspondent banks, and customers for transaction completion.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and process improvement programs.
- Maintain high standards of risk management, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.

Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in Letter of Credit (Import & Export LC Processing)
- Document Checking / Scrutiny
- Guarantees Processing and Vetting
- Documentary Collection Processing
- Trade Finance Payments Processing
- End-to-end understanding of Trade Finance Operations
- Experience working in banking, captive centers, or trade finance shared services environments

Good-to-Have Skills
- CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)
- CSDG (Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees)
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging related
