Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete day-to-day factory and production operations.
- Plan daily, weekly and monthly production based on requirements and delivery schedules.
- Manage electronics/product assembly lines and ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production targets vs. actual output and take corrective action for delays.
- Manage technicians, supervisors, assembly workers and other factory manpower.
- Improve line productivity, manpower utilization and production efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure proper assembly, soldering, testing, QC and packaging processes.
- Monitor product rejection, rework and quality issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Design/R&D; and Management.
- Ensure timely availability of components, raw materials and packaging materials for production.
- Monitor machine/equipment condition and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain proper inventory control for components, WIP and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain SOPs, 5S, safety and shop-floor discipline.
- Ensure products are manufactured as per required quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Support new product manufacturing/assembly setup and production trials.
- Prepare daily and monthly production MIS covering output, rejection, downtime, manpower and pending production.
- Continuously work on reducing production cost, wastage and rejection.
