Job Role: SAP Ariba Functional Consultant - Upstream

Primary Modules
- Ariba Sourcing, Ariba Contracts, SLP (Supplier Lifecycle & Performance), and Spend Analysis
- Expertise in Supplier Request/Registration/Qualification/Preferred workflows.
- Knowledge of Clause Libraries, legal lockdowns, and hierarchical contract linking.
- Familiarity with integrating Upstream data (like awarded quotes) into Downstream systems or SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Module Implementation: Lead the configuration of Ariba Sourcing, Contract Management, and Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP).
- Sourcing Events: Design and execute RFX (RFI, RFP, RFQ) templates and competitive bidding events (e.g., Dutch, English, and Japanese auctions).
- Supplier Onboarding: Configure SLP workflows to ensure suppliers are properly vetted, diverse, and compliant before they ever receive a Purchase Order.
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM):



Set up Main Agreement templates, Clause Libraries, and e-Signature integrations (like DocuSign or Adobe Sign).
- Spend Analysis: Help the business use Ariba Spend Analysis to categorize historical data and identify where they can negotiate better deals.
- Template Management: Build and maintain complex project templates that define the tasks, phases, and documents required for sourcing and contracting.

Qualifications
- Experience: 38 years in SAP Ariba, with a heavy focus on the "Source-to-Contract" lifecycle.
- Business Acumen: A deep understanding of procurement strategy, category management, and legal risk mitigation.
- Analytical Mindset: The ability to look at "messy" supplier data and figure out how to clean it up for a global system.
- Certification: Ideally certified in SAP Certified Application Associate SAP Ariba Sourcing.
