Position Summary

Maple Tax Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Associate to support the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns, assist with tax notice resolution, and provide exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a robust interest in taxation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Compliance
- Prepare and review individual tax returns (Forms 1040 and related schedules).
- Assist with business tax return preparation, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and LLCs.
- Gather, organize, and analyze client tax documents.
- Conduct tax research to support return preparation and compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.

Client Support
- Communicate with clients regarding missing documents and tax-related questions.




- Provide clear explanations of tax filing requirements and notices.
- Maintain professional relationships while delivering excellent client service.
- Assist clients with tax payment and extension procedures.

Administrative & Compliance Support
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Update internal tracking systems and workflow reports.
- Support quality control and review processes.
- Stay current on tax law changes and firm procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Taxation, or a related field or Any Degree.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
