They leverage a fully cloud-based ecosystem to streamline financial workflows and provide proactive solutions for their clients.They are seeking an experienced
*Senior Australian Tax & Compliance Reviewer (Xero | Public Practice)*
to join their team on a part-time basis. Working 20 hours per week, you will serve as the critical quality control bridge between the junior preparation team and the firm’s partners. Your primary mission is to ensure that all financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements are highly accurate, technically compliant, and ready for partner sign-off.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, AEST Business Hours | 20 hours per week (Flexible distribution across weekdays, to be agreed)

Responsibilities:

*Technical Tax & Compliance Review*
- File Auditing: Perform comprehensive reviews of year-end financial statements and tax returns prepared by junior/offshore accountants




- Entity Coverage: Review returns across a diverse SME client base, including Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders
- Complex Tax Verification: Audit and verify complex tax positions including Division 7A compliance, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) concessions, and Fringe Perks Tax (FBT)
- Ledger Reconciliation: Cross-examine and reconcile Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) against raw cloud bookkeeping files

*Practice Management & Workflow Optimization*
- Workflow Management: Utilize Xero Practice Manager (XPM) to track jobs, manage turnaround times, and keep files moving seamlessly through the firm's pipeline
- Deadlines Tracking: Help monitor the ATO lodgement calendar to ensure priority files are cleared well ahead of compliance deadlines
- Query Resolution: Formulate clear, concise queries for the onshore client-facing team to resolve missi
