Job Role: Tester - Payment Testing
Job Type: Contract (5 Months)
Job Location: Remote - India
We are looking for an experienced Payment Testing Specialist with solid knowledge of banking and payment systems. The candidate will be responsible for UAT, end-to-end payment testing, SWIFT message validation and defect management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios and UAT plans.
- Perform end-to-end testing of inward and outward remittances.
- Test SWIFT payments, including MT103 and MT202.
- Validate ISO 20022 / MX messages such as pacs.008, pacs.009 and pacs.002.
- Perform testing of RTGS payments, payment investigations and exception handling.
- Validate payment processing from initiation to settlement.
- Check SWIFT message fields, mapping and data accuracy.
- Perform UAT and regression testing.
- Identify, log,
track and retest defects.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Technology, Operations and Compliance teams.
- Support SWIFT SR2026 implementation, testing and MT-to-MX migration.
- Maintain test evidence and ensure overall quality and operational readiness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in banking/payment testing.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SWIFT MT103 and MT202.
- Strong experience in UAT and end-to-end payment testing.
- Good knowledge of inward/outward remittances and payment lifecycle.
- Good understanding of ISO 20022 / MX messages.
- Experience in RTGS, payment investigations and exception handling is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical and defect management skills.
