Join a team of skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing our large scale, globally deployed RedHat Linux-based platform.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure.
- Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects.
- Add features, manage, and tune configuration, and perform deep-level troubleshooting of the existing Linux platform management systems and Linux O/S configuration and builds.
- Be involved in the architectural design and implementation of new solutions to support the fast-paced, dynamic needs of the business.
- Lead the development of recent ideas and policies at an inter-departmental level.

Required Qualifications / Skills :
- Expert knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls,



and low-level O/S and network protocols.
- Experience of using any modern config management system (examples such as Salt Stack, Puppet, or Chef) to automate management of a large-scale Linux deployment.
- Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Python and/or Perl.
- Effective troubleshooting skills across hardware, O/S, network, and storage.
- Ability to convey complex technical topics to a non-technical audience, identify and communicate the business risks or benefits of the projects you are working on, and form strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :
- Experience working in a large, multi-national enterprise in any industry vertical, showing experience of communicating and collaborating in globally distributed teams.
- Enthusiasm for modern development tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, automated testing, and continuous integration.
