Job Title: API Automation Tester

About Business line/Function: ITG – Personal Investors IT

Position Purpose: To automate and maintain all our business line projects related artefacts and regression tests. Have requirement related to Mobile and web based applications and APIs. As an API automation tester, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated tests for APIs to ensure the quality and functionality of the software applications. Candidate will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to identify test scenarios, develop automation scripts and report defects.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Perform test automation utilizing testing tools such Selenium, APIs Testing Tools, Cucumber
Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
Also ready to work on Manual test execution (if needed) by creating and maintaining test sets
Experience in CI/CD is required to create and execute Jobs in Gitlab




Provide technical assistance to other Automation Engineers regarding the enterprise Automation Framework
Determine automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases
Provide test automation status and execution results to Test Lead/Test manager and other project team members.
Work closely with QA team members, developers and other project team members in the process of automation (agile environment).

Contributing Responsibilities

Experience in using Java and Automation Scripting with Web, API tools (Selenium,Appium, Cucumber)
Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus experience is a must
JIRA-XRay is a mandatory skill
Excellent communications skills with solid analytical and problem solving skills required.
