MEP Assistant Project Lead – Commercial/Industrial Building Projects
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead the planning, design coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial building projects. This role serves as the technical authority for MEP systems integration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget,
and to the highest quality standards. The MEP Engineer will report directly to the Senior Project Manager or Director of Engineering and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional building performance.
This position may involve oversight of junior engineers and coordination personnel, requiring both technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
Lead MEP design coordination from concept through construction completion for commercial building projects ranging from office buildings to mixed-use developments
Develop comprehensive project schedules, critical path analyses, and milestone tracking for MEP work packages
Manage project budgets including cost estimation, value engineering proposals, and expenditure tracking to maintain financial targets
