Description
The Manager, Security Services supports the Director, Security Services in the development, implementation, and management of physical security programs designed to protect American Express facilities, employees, contractors, visitors, customers, and assets. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations, managing contract security personnel, conducting investigations, supporting emergency response activities, and ensuring compliance with established security policies and procedures.
As a key member of the security leadership team, the Manager serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders on security-related matters and may act on behalf of the Director, Security Services during emergencies or in their absence. The position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions in a dynamic workplace. This role is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities

Security Services in the oversight and administration of all physical security operations for assigned facilities.
- Coordinate and provide effective security coverage through the co-management of an outsourced security workforce.
- Directly supervise security supervisors, officers, and administrative support staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and security coverage for daily operations, special events, and emergency situations.
- Provide leadership and operational direction during security incidents and emergencies.
- Assist the Director, Security Services in developing, communicating, implementing, and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure security personnel are fully informed of security policies, procedures, techniques, and emergency response protocols through training and ongoing communications.
