Role:
Senior Mainframe Specialist (IMS DBA & Omegamon)
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and support IMS databases in a z/OS workplace, including IMS DB/DC and Data Sharing configurations
• Perform database design, performance optimization, space management, and capacity planning
• Manage backup, recovery, and reorganization activities to ensure data integrity and availability
• Monitor and troubleshoot mainframe systems using IBM Omegamon and related monitoring tools
• Analyze and resolve performance issues, conduct tuning, and optimize system response times
• Collaborate with application teams to support development, testing, and production deployments
• Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 production support of mission-critical systems
