Job Description
3M Corporate Audit is seeking a Global SOX Process Lead to assume responsibility for an end-to-end business process and all related SOX controls. As a Global SOX Process Lead, you will have the chance to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
Leading a team of 3-4 SOX testers across different geographies for your business process
Assisting in the execution of annual scoping for your global business process
Driving critical program objectives, including executing to the annual SOX calendar
Improving depth of understanding and rigor of walkthroughs and control design assessments
Leading controls rationalization efforts, including improving control descriptions,
mapping to financial statement assertions and associated risks
Evaluating control deficiencies, identifying mitigating controls, and communicating them up through Global SOX and Audit organization leadership for quarterly reporting
Working with process and control owners on remediation plans for deficiencies to drive closure
Ensuring timely completion of work according to the established annual SOX calendar
Partnering with process owners to identify and incorporate impacts of system, configuration, business, and process changes to the 3M’s Sarbanes-Oxley program.
Engaging with 3M Global Process Owners and key functional leaders to provide counsel and drive ownership and understanding of 3M’s suite of controls.
Job Qualifications:
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or a related field
5+ years of SOX compliance experience in a multinational environment or with a Public Accounting Firm
At least 3 years of supervisory experience
