Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Mines Manager to lead and manage open cast coal mining operations while ensuring statutory compliance, safe production, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate should possess a valid First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS and have extensive experience in managing large-scale mining operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall mine operations to achieve production and productivity targets.
- Ensure compliance with the Mines Act, DGMS regulations, CMR/MMR, and all statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement mine plans, production schedules, and resource optimization strategies.
- Drive a strong safety culture through effective implementation of safety management systems.
- Coordinate drilling, blasting, excavation, OB removal, coal extraction, and dispatch operations.
- Manage contractors, equipment utilization, manpower planning, and cost control.




- Liaise with DGMS, State Mining Authorities, Pollution Control Board, and other regulatory agencies.
- Ensure environmental compliance and implementation of sustainable mining practices.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports, production reports, and MIS to management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary mining teams.

Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering.
- First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (Coal/Open Cast) issued by DGMS (Mandatory).
- 1018 years of experience in open cast coal mining operations.
- Strong knowledge of DGMS regulations, Mines Act, MMDR Act, environmental and safety compliance.
- Proven experience in handling large HEMM fleets and contractor management.
- Robust leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
