Role Description
The Japanese Head Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, leading the preparation and presentation of authentic Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and other specialty dishes. Responsibilities include planning menus, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. The role involves managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, controlling food costs,



and implementing efficient kitchen workflows. The Japanese Head Chef will also train and mentor team members, collaborate with management on promotions and seasonal menus, and ensure an exceptional guest dining experience. This is a full-time, in office role located in Bengaluru South.

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Japanese culinary techniques, menu creation, and traditional and modern Japanese dishes.
- Leadership and team management skills, including staff supervision, training, and performance guidance.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and inventory management.
- Ability to manage food costing, supplier coordination, and efficient use of resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, management, and guests.
- Prior experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in Japanese cuisine, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
