2. Qualification & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Telecommunication (mandatory); relevant post-graduation preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 4 years in a supervisory/lead capacity covering networks, databases, and backup operations.
- Networking certification: CCNA mandatory; CCNP (Enterprise/Security) preferred.
- Database administration expertise: SQL Server and/or Oracle administration (OCA/OCP or Microsoft equivalent preferred); HANA exposure an advantage given the SAP landscape.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, or equivalent) including replication, deduplication, and restoration testing.
- Working knowledge of RAID configurations, storage arrays (SAN/NAS), clustering, and high-availability/failover architectures.
- Experience operating network monitoring systems (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, or equivalent) with alert tuning and reporting.




- Practical exposure to firewall/VPN administration and endpoint security operations under a defined security policy.
- Understanding of database performance tuning, index management, capacity planning, and archival/purging policies.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and basic cloud services (AWS/Azure) for backup/DR targets.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred; disciplined incident, change, and problem management practice.
- Ability to lead a small technical team, manage shift/on-call rosters, and coordinate with OEM/AMC vendors.

3. Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain all production and non-production databases: installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity management.
- Ensure database integrity and availability with defined uptime targets; implement clustering/always-on configurations where mandated.
