Senior Research Engineer 1 – CFD
Position Overview
This role involves performing simulations and research in fluid flow, heat and mass transfer. The candidate should possess strong expertise in CFD, along with prior experience in chemical kinetics, species transport modeling with ability to analyze complex problems and translate them into practical engineering solutions.

The selected candidate will effectively engage with stakeholders, manage projects, drive innovation, mentor juniors and contribute to building new capabilities while strengthening existing competencies.

Experience & Qualifications
- PhD in Mechanical / Aerospace / Chemical Engineering with 3–4 years of Industrial experience, OR
- Master’s degree with 8–12 years of Industrial experience in CFD applications
- Proven track record of solving complex industrial problems using simulation tools

Required Technical Expertise
- Strong fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Chemical kinetics, Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena etc

Tools & Skills
- Hands-on expertise with:
- ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+,



Open FOAM (preferred)
- Meshing tools and grid generation strategies
- Pre/post-processing tools
- CAD tools and simulation workflow automation
- Programming skills:
- Python, C/C++ (automation, scripting, model customization)

Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead and execute CFD projects from model development through validation.
- Support innovation initiatives, IP development, and technical publications.
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and simulation best practices.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality simulation deliverables.
- Validate simulation results through experiments, field trials, and engineering assessments.
- Perform benchmarking, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage multiple projects with transparent priorities, timelines, stakeholder alignment, and effective communication.
