Job Description Utility Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operations and maintenance of all plant utilities including Boiler, Air Compressor, Chiller, Cooling Tower, DG Sets, HVAC, WTP, ETP/STP, and electrical systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to support continuous tea manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for utility equipment.
- Monitor utility consumption and drive energy-saving and cost optimization initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, safety, pollution control, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with production, QA, engineering, and external vendors for smooth plant operations.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, utility reports, downtime analysis, and audit documentation.
- Ensure proper inventory management of critical utility spares and consumables.
- Lead and supervise utility technicians, operators,



and maintenance teams.
- Support installation, commissioning, and improvement projects related to plant utilities.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Robust knowledge of industrial utility systems and maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or FMCG plant utility operations.
- Good understanding of energy management and utility optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and coordination capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance documentation/reporting.

Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
