Role Description:

The Mathematics Mentor - Remote role is a part-time position focused on guiding school-age learners through foundational and advanced math concepts in an online setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting interactive virtual classes, explaining mathematical ideas in clear, age-appropriate ways, and using examples, activities, and challenges to build understanding and confidence. The mentor will prepare lesson plans aligned with Codeyoung’s curriculum,



assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. The role also involves maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment, communicating with parents or guardians when needed, and collaborating with the academic team to refine content and teaching methods. This is a fully remote position that requires reliable internet access and comfort with using digital teaching tools and platforms.

Qualifications:


- Strong foundation in mathematics, with the ability to explain concepts from basic arithmetic through at least middle- or high-school level topics.
- Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children or teenagers, preferably in an online or blended learning environment.
- Ability to create engaging, student-centric lessons that use interactive activities, real-world examples, and problem-solving exercises.
