SAP Basis Automation Engineer

Location: Chennai / Salem

Experience: 4–6 Years

Work Mode: Hybrid

In this role, you will:

Design and develop automation solutions for SAP Basis operations.

Automate SAP administration activities including start/stop, health checks, monitoring, transport management, system refreshes, and patching.

Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, Shell, or Bash scripting.

Build reusable workflows for SAP operational excellence and infrastructure automation.

Integrate SAP systems with enterprise automation platforms, APIs, and orchestration tools.

Collaborate with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.

Identify manual operational activities and transform them into intelligent automated workflows.

Continuously improve automation reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

We're looking for candidates with:

Strong SAP Basis Administration experience.

Hands-on experience in SAP System Refresh (Homogeneous & Heterogeneous), Client Copy, and Post-Refresh activities.





Experience in SAP Kernel Upgrades, Patch Management, Transport Management (STMS), and SAP Start/Stop procedures.

Hands-on experience in PowerShell, Python, Shell, or Bash scripting.

Experience in enterprise automation and orchestration.

Knowledge of SAP HANA/Oracle administration basics.

Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
