Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to design innovative, child-safe furniture products from concept to production. The role involves transforming design briefs into production-ready solutions, creating technical drawings, and collaborating with the manufacturing team to deliver functional, high-quality furniture aligned with Curious Cub's design philosophy.

What you'll do?
- Design cutting-edge furniture products for children, including beds, study tables, storage units, and play furniture (develop concepts for individual SKUs).
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings— dimensions, sections, joinery details, hardware callouts, cut lists, tolerances,



3D models with renders and catalogue
- Select suitable materials, finishes, and hardware while considering cost and manufacturability.
- Ensure child-protected, ergonomic, and functional product designs.
- Coordinate with the factory for prototyping, sampling, and production improvements.
- Optimize designs for flat-pack manufacturing and maintain standardized product specifications.
- Maintain a spec library so SKUs share hardware, board thicknesses and finishes across the range

Must-have
- 3+ years designing physical furniture products that actually went into production (not concept-only or interiors-only)
- Fluent in wood-based materials: BWP/BWR plywood grades, MDF/HDF, pre-laminated boards, solid woods (rubber wood, birch, mango, sheesham), veneers, edge banding (PVC/ABS)
- Working knowledge of finishes: PU vs water-based lacquers, melamine, low-VOC and low-formaldehyde (E1/E0) board grades.
