About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Propulsion Engineer with hands-on experience in cryogenic propulsion systems and turbopump-fed rocket engines. The ideal candidate should possess robust expertise in the design, development, testing, and optimization of liquid propulsion systems, with a thorough understanding of Liquid Oxygen (LOX) handling, storage, and combustion characteristics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop cryogenic liquid propulsion systems for rocket engines.
- Develop and optimize combustion chambers, injectors, turbopumps, feed systems, and nozzles.
- Perform propulsion system sizing, thermodynamic cycle analysis, and engine performance calculations.
- Design and validate cryogenic propellant feed systems.
- Conduct combustion performance analysis, ignition sequence development, and engine startup/shutdown optimization.
- Support component-level and integrated engine testing,
including hot-fire tests and performance evaluation.
- Perform thermal, structural, and fluid flow analyses to improve engine efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structures, avionics, GNC, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
- Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and verification plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards for cryogenic propellant handling, storage, and testing.
