Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Engineer – Drive (Application Engineer) to join our Metals Business Unit. The role involves application engineering, commissioning, and support for LV/MV drive systems used in steel and metals processing plants. The position offers excellent exposure to industrial automation, power systems, and site commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform application engineering for LV/MV Drives, Motors, and Power Systems.
- Commission and troubleshoot LV/MV Drive systems at customer sites.
- Integrate drives with automation systems using communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet, and Profinet.
- Work closely with Lead Engineers to ensure engineered solutions meet project specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation and project-related reports.




- Follow engineering standards and best practices while supporting continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Control, Hardware, and Drive Engineers.
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning and project support (approximately 50% travel).

Required Skills
- Experience in Drive Engineering and Drive Commissioning.
- Knowledge of Motors, MCC, Transformers, and Switchgear.
- Understanding of Industrial Automation and Power Systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel on short notice for project requirements.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI, or SCADA.
- Robust fundamentals of Motors, Control Systems, and Power Systems.
- Experience in the Metals Industry (Hot Rolling Mill, Cold Rolling Mill, Processing Lines, Bar/Wire Rod Mills).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visio.
