Role Description
T
his is a full-time, on-site BIM Modeler MEP role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The BIM Modeler MEP is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in coordination with architectural and structural disciplines.
Responsibilities
Model Creation: Build 3D models for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems using project markups and design sketches.
Clash Detection:
Identify and resolve basic service interferences with architectural and structural elements.
Documentation: Generate 2D shop drawings, fabrication spools, installation layouts, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
Revit Family Creation: Develop customized parametric components and MEP families as per project specifications
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a construction-related field
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in MEP drafting and BIM modeling.
Software Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and basic Navisworks for coordination.
Standards: Understanding of international drafting standards and building codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NBC, or local regulations).
