The Compositing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the compositing work on an assigned show, ensuring that the project’s creative vision, artistic direction, and technical standards are consistently maintained throughout production.

Working closely with the Creative Director, VFX Supervisor, and Producer. Compositing Supervisor provides artistic and technical leadership to the compositing team while ensuring that the show is delivered on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

● Lead, mentor, and support a team of compositors by providing clear guidance, constructive feedback, and technical expertise to ensure the highest quality of work.

● Collaborate closely with Directors, VFX Supervisors, and other Department Heads to understand and execute the creative vision and technical requirements of each project.

● Oversee the compositing process from start to finish, ensuring the seamless integration of live-action footage, CG elements, matte paintings, visual effects, and other production assets.





● Troubleshoot and resolve artistic and technical challenges that arise throughout production, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.

● Maintain a high level of quality control by reviewing shots and sequences to ensure they meet the project’s artistic, technical, and delivery standards.

● Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving compositing techniques to support innovation and maintain the studio’s position at the forefront of the industry.

Required Skills

● Extensive professional experience in compositing for film, television, commercials, or other high-end visual media, supported by a robust portfolio showcasing your work.

● At least 10 years of experience as a Compositing Artist / Lead Compositing / Compositing Supervisor.

● Expert-level proficiency in Nuke and a comprehensive understanding of professional compositing workflows.

● Strong knowledge of photography, composition, lighting, colour theory, and motion.
