The Team Lead – Canadian Accounts & Taxation will be responsible to manage and oversee accounting operations for Canada-based clients. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in Canadian accounting & Taxation principles, team leadership, and client communication. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical & Operational Responsibilities:

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

Perform bank and account reconciliations.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.

Handle payroll processing, payroll accounting and compliance

Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and deliver signature-ready outputs.

GST and HST preparation, Working experience with tax forms T1, T2

Client-Facing Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with Canadian CPA firms and end clients.

Direct interaction with clients and managing client communications.

Review monthly and yearly bookkeeping/accounting projects.





Reviewing the compliance projects

Ensure timely completion of projects and reprioritize tasks as needed.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration.

Oversee team performance and ensure quality deliverables.

Controlling attrition and motivate, encourage team members to maintain high morale and productivity.

Education, Skills & Experience
- 5+ Years of experience.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting.
- CA or CA inter or CPA
- Technical Skills:

Accounting Software: QBO (QuickBooks Online), QBD (QuickBooks Desktop), Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, Wagepoint, Pa
