We are looking for an experienced and certified Blasting Manager to lead and manage the drilling and blasting operations at our opencast coal mining project. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of blasting activities while optimizing productivity and minimizing environmental and safety risks.
- Plan and execute daily blasting activities in coordination with mine operations and production teams.
- Supervise drilling patterns, blast hole charging, stemming, and firing in compliance with mine plan.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, DGMS guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Handle, store, and maintain explosives and accessories in accordance with Explosives Act and Rules.
- Maintain records of explosive consumption, blast design, vibration monitoring, and post-blast analysis.
- Conduct risk assessments, misfire investigations, and implement preventive measures.




- Coordinate with vendors and explosive suppliers for timely procurement and delivery.
- Train site staff on safe blasting practices and emergency response procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (DGMS, PESO, etc.) during inspections and audits.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering.
- Valid First Class/Second Class Managers Certificate of Competency (Coal) issued by DGMS.
- Blasters License and knowledge of controlled and advanced blasting techniques.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in blasting operations in large opencast coal mines.
- Positive understanding of blast design software and vibration analysis tools
- Experience in high-capacity coal mines (5 MTPA).
- Exposure to mechanized and large-scale blasting operations.
