Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Perform electrical design and development for Fluence's grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. This role focuses on independently owning electrical subsystem design while collaborating across engineering disciplines to develop safe, versatile, maintainable, and cost-competitive products.

Responsibilities Include
- Develop and own electrical designs for assigned subsystems within multi-MW energy storage products, including battery systems, power conversion systems, medium-voltage transformers, controls hardware, communication systems, auxiliary power,



and safety equipment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, datasheets, interface documents, configuration limitations, and product performance metrics.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, verification, testing, manufacturing, and product management teams to achieve program objectives.
- Support system integration activities by ensuring assigned subsystem designs are compatible with overall product architecture and meet functional requirements.
- Understand interactions between major BESS components and evaluate the impact of engineering changes on system performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Support development of installation manuals, operation manuals, maintenance documentation, and site design guides.
- Perform and review electrical studies including:
- Short circuit analysis
- Protection sizing
- Protection coordination
