Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, security, and efficient operation of all campus facilities and infrastructure. This role ensures that buildings, classrooms, laboratories, hostels, sports facilities, utilities, and grounds are maintained to high standards, providing a safe and productive workplace for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Role & responsibilities

Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of campus buildings and infrastructure.
- Ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generators, elevators, water systems, and other equipment.
- Monitor facility conditions and coordinate renovation and improvement projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of classrooms, offices, laboratories, libraries, auditoriums, hostels, and common areas.

Campus Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with fire, health, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Coordinate fire drills,



emergency preparedness plans, and disaster management procedures.
- Maintain necessary licenses, certifications, and compliance documentation.

Vendor & Contractor Management
- Identify, negotiate, and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Monitor contract performance and service quality.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of maintenance materials and services.

Budget & Asset Management
- Prepare and manage facility maintenance budgets.
- Track expenses and optimize operational costs.
- Maintain records of equipment, assets, warranties, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in capital expenditure planning for infrastructure upgrades.

Security & Housekeeping
- Supervise security personnel and housekeeping teams.
- Ensure proper access control, CCTV monitoring, and campus security measures.
- Implement standards for cleanliness and hygiene across campus facilities.
