Key Responsibilities1. Market Research & Trend Forecasting
- Analyze consumer buying patterns, sales data, and industry trends to predict future demand.
- Monitor competitor activity, price points, and emerging fashion developments.

2. Product Planning & Range Building
- Collaborate with fashion designers and buyers to plan seasonal collections and product lines.
- Determine the optimal mix of styles, colors, sizes, and price tiers for specific target demographics.

3. Financial Budgeting & Pricing Strategy
- Set sales targets, profit margins, and pricing strategies for apparel and accessories.
- Manage inventory budgets (open-to-buy) and plan markdowns, discounts, or promotions to transparent slow-moving stock.

4. Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers,



and distributors to oversee production timelines and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate costs, order quantities, and delivery terms to protect profit margins.

5. Sales Performance Analysis
- Track real-time sales performance and stock turnover rates.
- Reorder top-selling items quickly and make adjustments for underperforming merchandise.

6. Visual & Marketing Strategy
- Work with visual merchandisers to determine how collections should be displayed in retail stores or e-commerce platforms.
- Ensure product placement aligns with promotional campaigns and brand identity.
