Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgist to lead Laboratory and Heat Treatment operations at our forging manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for metallurgical testing, raw material inspection, heat treatment process control, laboratory management, calibration, process validation, quality documentation, and compliance with customer and quality management system requirements. Candidates with experience in the forging, automotive, or engineering manufacturing industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all metallurgical laboratory activities.
- Conduct raw material inspection and chemical analysis.
- Perform spectrometer analysis for material grade verification.
- Ensure proper identification, colour coding, and traceability of raw materials and batches.
- Issue Material Test Certificates (MTCs) for customer dispatches.
- Maintain laboratory records,



calibration records, and raw material release documentation.
- Manage heat treatment processes including Normalizing, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, and Stress Relieving.
- Ensure compliance with process sheets, control plans, and customer specifications.
- Monitor furnace performance, temperature uniformity, and calibration of testing equipment.
- Validate and revalidate heat treatment processes.
- Prepare Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, and Daily MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Purchase teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, safety, and cost optimization.
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping, and zero-accident safety practices.
