L2 Application Support Engineer Global Payments Production Support

1) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced L2 Application Support Engineer to support a Global Payments platform. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of business-critical payment applications while providing timely incident resolution and operational support in a 24x7 production environment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience supporting payment processing applications, troubleshooting production issues, working with databases and middleware technologies, and collaborating with global technology and business teams.

2) Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 production support for Global Payments applications.
- Monitor production systems, payment transactions, and critical business services.
- Investigate and resolve payment processing issues, transaction failures, delays, and exceptions.
- Perform incident triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management activities.
- Execute SQL queries for issue investigation, validation,



and data analysis.
- Monitor application health, batch processing, and payment settlements.
- Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Middleware, Database, and Business teams to resolve production incidents.
- Participate in major incident management, on-call support, and release validation activities.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous service improvement.
