We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser capable of independently handling international garment export buyers from enquiry to shipment. The candidate should possess excellent commercial knowledge, production follow-up skills, strong vendor coordination, and customer communication abilities.Key Responsibilities
● Independently manage buyers and assigned accounts.● Handle product development from sampling to bulk production. ● Costing, price negotiations, and margin management. ● Coordinate with buyers, factories, fabric mills, trims suppliers, washing units, embroidery and printing vendors. ● Prepare Time & Action (T&A;) calendars and ensure on-time execution. ● Conduct order planning and production follow-up. ● Monitor fabric and accessories sourcing. ● Coordinate with QA/QC teams to maintain buyer quality standards. ● Handle approvals including lab dips, fit samples, PP samples, TOP samples and shipment samples. ● Ensure timely shipment documentation and buyer compliance. ● Work closely with logistics and shipping departments. ● Resolve production issues proactively.
● Maintain ERP updates and accurate order records. ● Generate merchandising MIS reports.Required Skills ● Strong knowledge of woven garments (shirts, trousers, jackets etc.). ● Good understanding of garment manufacturing processes. ● Buyer communication through email and video meetings. ● Strong negotiation and analytical skills. ● Excellent planning and multitasking abilities. ● Advanced Microsoft Excel. ● ERP knowledge preferred. ● Ability to work under delivery deadlines.Buyers Exposure PreferredExperience with European, UK or US apparel buyers.Must Have ● Minimum 5 years in garment export merchandising. ● Complete order handling experience. ● Excellent English communication. ● Strong commercial and production knowledge. ● Secure employment history.Preferred CandidatesCandidates currently working with reputed garment export houses in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane or nearby industrial area
