- Team Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and supervise a team of TBML analysts and analyst handling portfolio of cross border non-trade remittances, ensuring timely and accurate case reviews.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and subject‑matter guidance to team members.
- TBML Monitoring & Investigations
- Providing guidance to perform advanced-level TBML investigations by reviewing trade documents (LCs, invoices, B/L, packing lists, SWIFT messages, etc.).
- Providing guidance to identify red flags such as over/under invoicing, phantom shipments, dual-use goods, shell entities, round‑tripping, and unusual trade routes.
- Providing guidance to conduct deep-dive analysis using internal systems, external databases (e.g., screening tools), and open-source intelligence.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessment and disposition of alerts/cases.
- Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Perform second‑level quality checks (QC/QA) on analysts’ work.
- Prepare periodic MI reports,
dashboards, and management updates.
- Ensure high-quality documentation in line with audit and regulatory standards.
- Reviewing Suspicious Transactions Reports (STRs/SARs) and ensuring timely submission of STRs to FIU IND.
- Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Trade Operations, Compliance, Sanctions, and Business units on escalations.
- Support regulatory queries, internal audits, and enterprise-wide AML reviews.
- Participate in governance meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
- Policy, Training & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain strong knowledge of trade finance products, TBML typologies, and emerging risks.
- Assist in updating TBML procedures, risk indicators, and monitoring scenarios.
- Conduct training sessions for recent analysts and cross-functional teams.
- Recommend process enhancements, automation, and control improvements.
