"Shroffs Foundation Trust, a leading NGO based in Vadodara with 30+ years of impactful work in Rural Tribal Development, Healthcare, and Skill Development, is looking for a skilled and passionate Trainer - Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) to join the Education Training team at VIVEC."

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and hands-on practical training aligned with NSQF and Apparel Sector Skill Council standards
- Train students in basics of garment construction and stitching techniques
- Teach identification and operation of industrial sewing machines
- Train students in machine operation and maintenance
- Guide trainees in fabric types, measurement, and cutting techniques
- Train students in the use of tailoring tools and equipment
- Conduct practical demonstrations and supervise practice sessions
- Maintain attendance records, practical logbooks, and assessment documentation
- Prepare session plans and ensure syllabus completion on time
- Conduct internal assessments and prepare students for external skill assessments




- Guide students on self-employment opportunities and small tailoring unit setup
- Ensure proper maintenance of sewing machines, tools, and training lab infrastructure
- Support placement activities and coordinate with garment factories, tailoring units, and boutiques
- Participate in mobilization activities, exhibitions, and institutional programs

Required Qualifications Experience | Educational Background (any one of the following):
- ITI in Sewing Technology / Dressmaking / Fashion Design
- Diploma in Fashion Designing / Apparel Manufacturing
- NSQF Certified Sewing Machine Operator
- Experienced Tailor / Master Cutter with relevant certification

Experience:
- Minimum 2 3 years of relevant industry experience in garment manufacturing, tailoring units, or boutiques
- Experience in handling industrial sewing machines preferred
- Prior teaching or training experience will be an added advantage

Skills Competencies:
- Robust practical knowledge
