Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software and firmware testing, preferably in industrial automation, energy management, or electrical metering domains. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering background and hands-on experience in validating electrical metering products, communication protocols, embedded systems, and energy management applications.

The candidate will work closely with Product Management, Development, Firmware, and Validation teams to ensure the quality and reliability of Schneider Electrics metering products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.
- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, system,



integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate electrical metering features including:
- Energy measurements
- Power quality parameters
- Demand calculations
- Alarms and events
- Data logging and reporting
- Verify communication protocols such as:
- Modbus RTU/TCP
- BACnet
- Ethernet/IP
- Serial communications (RS485)
- Test firmware and software releases for electrical meters and associated applications.
- Execute manual testing for web applications, desktop applications, and embedded products.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-related feedback.
- Support customer issue analysis and validation of fixes.
- Maintain test reports, traceability matrices, and quality documentation.
