We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Datadog Systems Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our monitoring and analytics platform, Datadog, across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves ensuring system performance, availability, and security while providing actionable insights through comprehensive analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and maintain Datadog across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of applications, services, and infrastructure. This includes leveraging integrations with SolarWinds for in-depth network performance monitoring and management, as well as Thousand Eyes for end-to-end visibility into the digital experience across the internet, cloud, and SaaS applications.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, monitors, and alerts that provide real-time insights into system performance, availability, and security. Utilise the integrated capabilities of Datadog, create a unified view of IT health,



enabling proactive issue resolution and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Datadog, SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes etc. into the CI/CD pipeline, facilitating continuous monitoring and feedback. This collaboration ensures that all aspects of the systems performance are under surveillance, from the core network to application performance, providing a holistic view of system health.
- Optimise the use of Datadog to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high levels of performance and reliability. This involves configuring these tools to complement each other, reducing overlap, and maximising the unique strengths of each platform.
