Roles and responsibilities.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Manage system performance, availability, and capacity planning
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks
- Automate operational tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Implement system security best practices (patching, hardening, vulnerability management)




- Manage user access, permissions, and authentication systems (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory integration)
- Support deployment and maintenance of applications and services on Linux platforms
- Configure and maintain networking services (DNS, DHCP, SSH, VPNs)
- Work with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines as needed
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs

Required Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Linux Engineer / System Administrator
- Robust knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and/or Python
- Knowledge of system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
