Job Description Summary:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Modernizing Medicines critical systems and applications. You will leverage your expertise to build and maintain robust infrastructure, automate operations, and continuously improve our services.

Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and implement automation tools and processes to streamline operations, deployments, and incident response.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to prevent outages and improve user experience.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem discussions to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability principles into the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.




- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices within the SRE team.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
- Evaluate and implement current technologies to enhance our infrastructure and operations.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role focused on large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Bash).
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Proven experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
