Job Summary: Manipal Hospitals is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with medical procedures, administering medications, and monitoring patients progress. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Nurse will also educate patients and their families about health conditions, care plans, and post-discharge instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs and implementing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patients vital signs and changes in condition
- Assist physicians and healthcare staff during examinations and procedures
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and preventative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Skills and Tools Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) or an associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid nursing license and certification in accordance with local regulations
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications
- Empathy and strong patient advocacy skills
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and hospital safety standards
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
