The Processor Commercial Claims role is integral to the smooth operation of the Commercial department at USGI Commercial Claims. This position plays a crucial role in claim management, from initial notification to final resolution, ensuring a seamless and qualified experience for our insured clients. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and a strong focus on customer service.
Responsibilities
- Notify and register all claims in the designated system.
- Communicate claim numbers and surveyor details to insured parties, along with a list of required documents.
- Inform relevant statutory authorities as necessary.
- Initiate loss minimization strategies in consultation with surveyors.
- Create reserves or default reserves in the system upon claim registration.
- Conduct thorough reviews, including updating surveyor information, receiving status reports, and updating claim status and reserves.
- Maintain communication and follow-up with all stakeholders for pending documents or details.
- Send reminder letters to insured parties, insurance mediators,
and sales channels for outstanding information or documents.
- For self-survey cases, maintain proof of documents to support reserve calculations and updates.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a claims processing or customer service role, preferably in the insurance/surveyor's industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes and terminology, particularly in commercial claims.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including claim management tools.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices in claim management.
