Job Title: Network Operations & Vendor Management Executive / Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for managing network inventory, coordinating with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), monitoring network links and connectivity, and working with vendors to ensure uninterrupted IT infrastructure services across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Inventory Management
- Maintain and update inventory records for network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN links, and related accessories.
- Track hardware lifecycle, warranty status, AMC details, and asset movements.
- Ensure accurate documentation of network topology, IP addressing, and circuit information.
- Perform periodic inventory audits and reconciliation.
2. ISP Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for all ISP-related activities.
- Coordinate recent internet/MPLS/SD-WAN link installations, upgrades, and decommissions.
- Manage ISP escalations for service outages and performance issues.
- Monitor SLA compliance and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
- Maintain ISP contact lists,
account details, and service agreements.
3. Link Monitoring & Incident Management
- Monitor WAN, Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and leased line connectivity using network monitoring tools.
- Identify and troubleshoot network issues, link outages, and performance degradation.
- Coordinate with ISPs and internal teams for incident resolution.
- Generate and analyze uptime, availability, and utilization reports.
- Ensure proactive monitoring and escalation to minimize business impact.
4. Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with hardware, network, and telecom vendors for support and maintenance activities.
- Track open service requests and ensure timely closure.
- Manage warranty claims, RMA processes, and equipment replacements.
- Review vendor performance against SLAs and contractual commitments.
- Assist in procurement activities by obtaining quotations and evaluating vendor proposals.
