Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with 3–7 years of relevant experience in EV charging infrastructure, electrical system design, power distribution, PDU development, or HV/LV electrical systems.

The candidate will be responsible for designing the complete electrical architecture of EV charging stations, from utility/grid input to individual chargers, including power distribution, protection systems, PDU design, HV/LV panels, switchgear, electrical calculations, layouts, and detailed design documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Design complete electrical architecture for EV charging stations, from utility/grid input to individual chargers.
Develop power distribution schemes for multiple EV chargers at a single location.
Perform electrical calculations for:
Connected load, maximum demand, diversity & demand factors
Voltage drop and short-circuit/fault current
Cable and busbar sizing
MCB/MCCB/ACB/fuse selection
Earthing & grounding
Power factor and reactive power
Transformer and DG capacity
Thermal loading and derating




Develop Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Design and develop Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for EV charging applications.
Design/specify HV/LV panels, switchboards, switchgear, busbars, breakers, contactors, isolators, protection devices and metering systems.
Develop electrical layouts, panel layouts, cable routing, cable schedules, termination details and interconnection drawings.
Ensure proper segregation and protection of HV, LV, control and communication circuits.
Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, civil, charger, controls and electronics teams.
Review designs for safety, reliability, maintainability, manufacturability and applicable standards.
Prepare technical specifications, BOMs, schematics and design documentation.
Support component selection and supplier interactions for panels, switchgear, cables, connectors and protection devices.
