About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Java Spring Boot Developer with 1–2 years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable backend applications, designing RESTful APIs, and working with relational databases using modern Java technologies.

You will be responsible for building secure, high-performance backend services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop secure and high-performance backend services following software engineering best practices.
- Design database schemas and interact with PostgreSQL using Spring Data JPA.
- Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security.
- Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code using layered architecture (Controllers, Services, Repositories, DTOs).
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues through log analysis, debugging tools, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and follow Git-based collaborative development workflows.
- Optimize SQL queries, API response times, and overall application performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and implementation notes where required.
- Follow Agile development practices, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of REST API design principles,



HTTP methods, and HTTP status codes.
- Experience with Spring Data JPA and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Good understanding of Spring Security, including authentication and authorization concepts.
- Ability to develop clean, modular, and maintainable Java applications using Controllers, Services, Repositories, and DTO patterns.
- Good knowledge of SQL, including:
- Joins
- Filtering
- Aggregations
- Grouping
- Query optimization

- Experience with Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, merge requests, and code reviews.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using logs, breakpoints, API testing, and root cause analysis.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design principles, and software development best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Liquibase or Flyway for database version control and schema migrations.
- Exposure to Microservices Architecture, including service discovery using Eureka.
- Basic understanding of:
- JWT Authentication
- OAuth2
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

- Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with MapStruct or similar object mapping frameworks.
- Understanding of workforce management or HR domains, including:

- Shift Scheduling
- Leave Management
- Rostering
- Attendance Management

- Experience implementing Excel import/export functionality using Apache POI.
- Knowledge of transaction management, lazy loading, fetch strategies, and common JPA performance issues such as the N+1 Query Problem.
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
