We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing and exposure to embedded systems / protection relays / industrial software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software functionality, ensuring quality delivery, and collaborating closely with development teams in an Agile environment

Key Responsibilities

- Gain a thorough understanding of GE protection relays / Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and their functionality
- Analyze requirements and user stories to create detailed test cases and test scripts
- Design and execute functional, boundary, negative, regression, and UAT test cases
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing
- Exposure to GUI automation and Python scripting




- Basic knowledge of DLLs and programming languages (C++ / C#)
- Understanding of communication interfaces such as Serial, USB, Ethernet
- Familiarity with communication protocols like IEC 60870-5-103 (CS-103) and DNP3
- Experience testing applications on Windows 10 / Windows 11 (including non-English OS)

Desirable / Positive-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of IEC 61850 standard and configuration tools (eg, IED Scout)
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts
- Experience with Excel macros
- Fundamental knowledge of:
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering
- Protection systems and Substation Automation
- SCADA systems
