Role Summary
We're hiring one senior engineer - Senior Developer or Architect level - to own a web application end-to-end:
frontend, backend, data layer, and CI/CD. This is a high-autonomy individual-contributor role. You'll make
architectural calls as well as write the code, working daily in an AI-assisted development setting (Cursor or
Claude Code) as your primary way of producing code, not as an occasional aid.
Key Responsibilities
• Frontend development (React 18 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS, Vite) - Design and build a responsive,
production-grade web application from approved UI/UX mockups and component specifications. Implement
of role-based views, dynamic dashboards, data-heavy tables, forms, and a reusable component library.
• Backend API development (.NET 8 C#, Azure App Service) - Design and implement controller and service
layers across the application's full data model. Enforce role-based access control and immutable, appendonly audit logging on every write operation. Build clean, well-tested REST APIs consumed by the frontend
and downstream integrations.
• Serverless / Azure Functions (.NET 8 isolated worker model) - Build event-driven and scheduled functions
for data ingestion, processing/classification pipelines, scheduled synchronization jobs, and automated
workflow orchestration - integrated with Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Desktop / scripting layer (PowerShell 7, WPF/C#) - Develop and maintain desktop-agent-side functionality:
telemetry collection, scripted automation, and a WPF-based UI where applicable.
• Data layer - Own EF Core schema design and migrations across multi-schema relational data (Azure SQL) and
NoSQL data (Cosmos DB),



keeping code and schema tightly in sync with architecture documentation as the
system evolves.
• CI/CD - Own and maintain Azure Pipelines (ADO) so builds, tests, and deployments stay reliably green across
environments, from non-production through to production deployment slots. Infrastructure provisioning is
handled separately; your own code, schema, and configuration.
• Quality & testing - Maintain strong automated test coverage using xUnit (backend), Pester
(scripting/automation), and Playwright (end-to-end), with particularly rigorous coverage anywhere the code
touches access control, audit logging, or sensitive data.
• Architecture ownership - As the sole senior technical resource, make and document architectural decisions
across the stack: component boundaries, data modelling, API contracts, integration patterns, and technical
trade-offs - not just execution against someone else's design.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 8+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with demonstrated architecture / technicalownership responsibility (Senior Developer or Architect level).
• Strong proficiency in React (18+), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Vite.
• Deep hands-on experience with .NET 8 / C#, including Azure Functions (isolated worker process model).
• Mandatory: PowerShell 7 and/or WPF/C# desktop application development experience.
• Production experience on Azure PaaS (App Service, Functions,



Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Key Vault,
Entra ID/MSAL) - not "used AWS, Azure is similar".
• Strong EF Core experience - schema design, migrations, and keeping multi-schema relational + NoSQL data
layers (SQL + Cosmos DB) in sync.
• Experience implementing role-based access control and audit-logging patterns in production systems.
• Daily, hands-on fluency with Cursor or Claude Code as your primary way of writing code. You should be
comfortable being handed a detailed engineering specification and executing against it with an AI pairprogrammer, including reviewing and correcting its output, not just accepting it.

- Testing discipline across xUnit, Pester, and Playwright (or direct equivalents), especially for security- and
compliance-sensitive code paths.
• Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, Pipelines) experience - building and maintaining CI/CD through multiple
deployment slots/environments.
• Comfortable being the single senior technical owner - able to make and defend architecture decisions
without a peer engineering review structure in place.
Nice-to-Have
• Experience integrating with third-party REST APIs and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Infrastructure-as-Code literacy (Bicep, Terraform, or similar).
• Experience in a regulated, audit-heavy enterprise environment (e.g., GDPR or similar compliance
frameworks).
Soft Skills
• High autonomy - Single-resource role, with no engineering team around you.
• Ownership mentality - Able to take something from architecture through deployment alone.
• Strong communicator - You will be the primary technical voice to product and business stakeholders, not
engineering peers.
