Role & responsibilities

To manage centralized production planning, material planning, capacity planning and delivery schedules for gear motors and gearboxes, ensuring optimum utilization of manpower, machines and materials while achieving on-time delivery (OTD) and minimizing inventory and production bottlenecks.

1. Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans for gear motors and gearboxes.
- Convert customer orders into executable production schedules.
- Coordinate planning across machining, gear manufacturing, heat treatment, assembly, testing and dispatch.
- Prioritize production based on customer requirements, delivery commitments and material availability.
- Monitor plan vs. actual production and take corrective actions.

2. Material Planning MRP
- Prepare material requirements based on production plans and customer orders.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores and Production for timely availability of raw materials, bought-out components and critical spares.
- Monitor shortages and expedite critical materials.




- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid excess/obsolete inventory.
- Track BOM, lead time, minimum stock and safety stock requirements.

3. Capacity Planning
- Analyze machine and manpower capacity against production requirements.
- Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and critical machines.
- Balance loading across machines and production lines.
- Plan subcontracting wherever internal capacity is insufficient.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for machine availability.

4. Gear Motor Production Planning
- Plan production considering different gear ratios, motor ratings, frame sizes and product configurations.
- Coordinate availability of gears, shafts, housings, bearings, motors, couplings and other components.
- Ensure synchronization between gearbox manufacturing and motor assembly.
- Monitor WIP at each stage and prevent line stoppages.

5. Order & Delivery Management
- Review open sales orders
