We’re looking for a high-performing Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of talented engineers working on scalable, high-traffic, cloud-based web applications. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, team leadership, and product focus — someone who can mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure delivery of impactful software.

You’ll be hands-on when needed, while empowering your team to own their domains, scale systems, and continuously raise the bar on code quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- Technical Leadership: Guide architectural decisions, lead design discussions, and ensure adherence to high engineering standards across all codebases and systems.
- Team Management: Mentor, support, and grow a high-performing engineering team. Conduct regular 1:1s, set goals, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Delivery Ownership: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business goals into engineering outcomes. Own delivery timelines, sprint planning, and execution.
- Hands-on Contribution: Lead by example by staying technically involved – reviewing code, contributing to architecture, and solving complex engineering challenges.
- Process Excellence: Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, technical documentation, and design reviews. Establish scalable development processes and tools.




- Build Scalable Systems: Oversee development of high-performance distributed systems and reusable component libraries using modern stacks like Node.js, React, TypeScript, and AWS.
- Product Partnership: Collaborate closely with product and design teams to shape roadmap and user experience, balancing technical feasibility with business goals.

Qualifications & Skills

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years leading teams or projects as a tech lead or manager.
- Deep expertise in Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web application architectures.
- Proven experience building scalable, resilient systems in microservices architecture using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, REST APIs, Git, and AWS.
- Strong background in responsive web design, modern UI frameworks, and performance optimization.
- Ability to mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong product and design sensibility with a detail-oriented mindset and user-first thinking.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating fast-paced, agile environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
