We are looking for an experienced Grinding Supervisor

Salary- 15,000-25,000K p.m

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day grinding and fettling operations in the foundry.
- Allocate work to operators and ensure smooth workflow to meet production targets.
- Monitor grinding of castings and ensure proper removal of excess metal, runners, risers, fins, and other unwanted material.
- Ensure castings are finished according to required specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect finished castings for grinding defects, cracks, excess material, dimensional issues, and surface-finish problems.
- Manage and guide grinding operators, helpers, and other shop-floor personnel.
- Monitor manpower, machine utilization, productivity, and material handling.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve shop-floor issues.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of grinding machines, tools, and equipment.




- Implement and maintain workplace safety practices, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection/rework data, and other required documentation.
- Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements to increase productivity and reduce rejection/rework.
- Ensure housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained in the grinding area.

Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in grinding/fettling operations, preferably in a foundry or casting manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of grinding, fettling, and finishing of castings.
- Experience in handling and supervising shop-floor manpower.
- Ability to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Basic understanding of casting defects and their identification.
- Valuable communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, if required.
