Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer with 8+ years of experience to deploy and support secure Linux platforms in enterprise and data centre environments. Strong expertise in NixOS, RHEL, Linux networking, firewalls, and security is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and support enterprise Linux servers across production and non-production environments.
- Manage NixOS, RHEL, GUIX, and other immutable Linux platforms.
- Configure Linux networking, VLANs, routing, Layer 2, security zoning, and nftables.
- Integrate and support Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Check Point firewalls.
- Implement Linux hardening, security controls, and network segmentation.
- Support Cilium, Suricata, and Zeek where applicable.
- Perform upgrades, patching, migrations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow change management processes.

Mandatory Skills
- 8+ years of Linux administration/engineering experience.




- Strong hands-on experience with NixOS and RHEL.
- Experience with GUIX or immutable Linux OS.
- Strong knowledge of Linux networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, security zoning, and stateful firewalls.
- Hands-on nftables experience.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point.
- Robust troubleshooting and enterprise/data centre experience.
- Familiarity with ITIL and change management.

Preferred Skills
- Cilium, Suricata, Zeek, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, Shell.
- SELinux, Linux hardening, IaC/DevOps, and cloud platforms.
- Certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, LFCS, LFCE, CKA, or ITIL Foundation.
