Job Description – Video Editor (1-3 years)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Video Editor to support the YouTube team by creating high-quality, engaging video content from music catalogues. The role will focus on music video editing, catalogue exploitation, content repurposing, and delivering videos optimised for YouTube.
Key Responsibilities

1. Music Video Editing
● Edit official music videos and music-related content for YouTube.
● Create engaging video versions from existing music catalogue assets.
● Sync audio and visuals accurately and maintain professional editing standards.
● Handle basic colour correction, audio balancing, and visual enhancement.
2. YouTube Content Creation
● Create current video formats to exploit existing music catalogues on YouTube.
● Develop content such as music video edits, visualisers, compilation videos, mashups, and other catalogue-based formats.
● Adapt content into different formats based on YouTube requirements and audience behaviour.
● Support the team with timely delivery of videos based on the publishing schedule.
3. Video Quality & QC




● Ensure videos meet required technical and quality standards before publishing.
● Check audio-video synchronisation, resolution, aspect ratio, spelling, and visual consistency.
● Follow the required YouTube publishing and content guidelines.
4. Catalogue Content Exploitation
● Identify opportunities to create additional video content from existing music assets.
● Work with the operations team to prioritise high-potential catalogue content.
● Repurpose existing assets into fresh formats to increase views, watch time, and engagement.
5. Team Coordination
● Coordinate with the YouTube operations team for content requirements and delivery timelines.
● Take feedback and make required revisions efficiently.
● Maintain organised project files and ensure completed assets are properly archived.
